About Us
Welcome to Bentwood!
Bentwood is a wonderful Johnson County community located within Overland Park, Kansas. This beautiful neighborhood was developed as a Rodrock Community starting in 1994. It is comprised of two sub-divisions: Bentwood Park and Bentwood Crossing. We're near three separate golf courses and located within just a few minutes of 'all the best' that Overland Park has to offer.
Overland Park is located in the southwest section of the Kansas City area, 35 miles from Kansas City International Airport, and minutes from Kansas City, Mo. Visitors can enjoy hundreds of urban attractions, while staying in an attractive, vibrant and safe suburban setting. Overland Park is known for its great restaurants and fine shopping, including Oak Park Mall, a popular two-level mall featuring Nordstrom and Dillard's as anchor stores. In a city known for its parks, Overland Park offers miles of walking and jogging paths including the Overland Park Arboretum and Botanical Gardens with its woodland, native and water gardens.
Bentwood Park students attend Olathe Schools, starting with our very own Bentwood Elementary right here inside the neighborhood, followed by California Trail Middle School and finally Olathe East High School.
The homes of Bentwood Park and Crossing have been designed to compliment each other as well as the community. The atmosphere is a very friendly, family oriented one. People here enjoy the children and encourage interaction and play. People in Bentwood take great pride their homes and their neighborhood, as can be seen by the well manicured lawns and the general curb appeal of our streets.
The Bentwood Community has appointed an active Homeowner's Association Board of Directors who's goal it is to represent the combined goals for the greater good and the improvement of our subdivision. Neighborhood amenities consist of a large swimming pool, small baby pool, playground with swings (brand new in 2022), half basketball court, and a sand volleyball court. The HOA also puts on several events throughout the year for the residents to enjoy for free, the biggest of which is the annual Fourth of July celebration. It's not to be missed! Please check the Events page for more detail throughout the year.
